Canada plans to lift travel restrictions for students

Canada has positive news for international students during these despair times. Canada student visa restrictions will be loosened as the cases of Covid-19 are in decline and Canada is almost Corona free. Canada values its immigrants as well as international students. The Government of Canada took notice of the trouble faced by international students since march 18, 2020 and have decided to lift and modify travel restrictions for them.

Since according to the Canadian Constitution, Educational falls under provincial and territorial jurisdiction, the Government had delegated the responsibility to Canada’s immigration minister Marco Mendicino, and health minister, Patty Hajdu to negotiate with provinces to find a consensus to allow international students with the Ministers regarding study permit of Canada.

For the safety of all, the study permits that were issued before March 18, 2020 are allowed to travel to Canada. The study visas that were issued after the March 18, 2020 are not exempted from travel limitations.

Canada’s immigration minister and government are coordinating and working on it so the students are allowed to attend classes’ in-person.

Until now it has been decided that the Canada entry restrictions will remain but international students will be allowed to land in Canada and resume their classes.

For all those who need to travel to Canada will have to stay in 14 days quarantine.
