Fight Visa Fraud Before You Trust. Verify.

A Tragedy That Should Never Be Forgotten

In October 2026, Pakistan was shaken by the tragic loss of Laiba Ijaz, a young gold medalist from Islamabad with aspirations of studying abroad. Her death came amid allegations that her family had been deceived through fraudulent university admission and scholarship promises.

The circumstances and allegations remain subject to investigation.

It's a heartbreaking reminder of how vulnerable students and families can be when they place their trust in the wrong hands.

But this isn't just about one incident. It's about every student who has been promised a guaranteed visa. Every parent who has handed over their hard-earned savings. And every family that trusted someone to guide them towards a better future.

They deserve honesty. They deserve transparency. They deserve protection.

Why We Started Fight Visa Fraud

At Student Ways, this tragedy made us reflect on our responsibility towards the students and families who dream of studying abroad.

We cannot change what happened. But we can help make sure more people know what to look out for.

That's why we started #FightVisaFraud, a public awareness initiative to educate students and parents about education and visa-related scams.

Not to sell a service. Not to promote a destination. Simply to share knowledge that could help someone avoid becoming a victim of fraud.

Because sometimes, knowing what questions to ask can make all the difference.

A Little Awareness Can Go a Long Way

How do you know if an admission letter is genuine? Is that scholarship offer real? Can someone actually guarantee a visa? Who should receive your university fees?

These are questions every student and parent deserves answers to.

Drawing on over two decades of experience in the international education industry, we've prepared the free Fight Visa Fraud Safety Checklist to help students and families recognize warning signs, ask the right questions, and protect themselves from potential scams before it's too late.

Take a few minutes to go through it. Share it with a friend, a sibling, or a parent preparing to send their child abroad. It might be the information someone needs at the right time.

For Every Dream. For Every Family.

Our thoughts remain with Laiba's family and everyone who has suffered because of education-related fraud.

We hope this initiative encourages more people to speak up, ask questions, and verify information before placing their trust in someone.

Because every student's future matters. And every family's trust deserves to be protected.
